Rig Expert AA-600 Review

The unit itself is made of formed plastic that feels great in the hand. The screen is great: large enough to not have to squint to read any of the readouts and bright enough to use outside in the sunlight. The SWR graphing showed me where my two meter antennas were tuned to and the history helped me figure out the best tuning for the trucks. When hooked up to my 80 meter Windom I found the exact frequencies that had the best SWR using the multi-SWR feature.
Connecting the AA-600 to a computer is when this antenna analyzer really shines! The free software is supplied from the manufacturer and after an easy installation it was up and running quickly. From the software you have complete control of the meter. You can save the graphs to PDF files for further review and comparison. The only gripe I had is that I have to restart the program if you disconnect and reconnect the AA-600 from the computer.
The battery life is very good, lasting all day when I was up on the hill checking to see how the antennas survived the winter.
